Using tools to find a target keyword is always a crucial step before starting a business and creating a website. Keywords are what customers search for to find the products or services they need. To assist my clients in identifying the best keywords for their business, I use tools such as SEMrush and Ahrefs. These tools provide valuable insights, including keyword variations, keyword difficulty, search volume, and traffic potential. By analysing all these parameters, I can select the most effective target keyword that will optimize their online presence and drive relevant traffic to their website.

Add Keyword in URL

URL also plays an important role in on-page SEO. A URL is made once and should not be changed, so add the target keyword in the URL.

Add keyword in Page Title

Keywords must be in the page title. If you place the right target keywords in the title, there is a high chance to rank higher and attract more customers.

Add Keyword in Meta Description

The meta description is a short paragraph that appears in Google search engine results. Many customers are more likely to click on a website with clear and readable meta descriptions. Including a well-crafted meta description is a best practice in SEO.

Incorporating the target keyword in the meta description increases the likelihood of ranking higher in search results and attracting customers to visit your website. A compelling meta description not only improves your search engine ranking but also enhances the click-through rate, ultimately driving more traffic to your site.

Add Keyword in Content of Page/Blog

Content is a major and essential part of every blog. You can add keywords in the content, but remember not to overuse them, as Google does not like this.

You shouldn’t write content solely for keywords; instead, focus on creating content for your audience that naturally includes keywords. I hope that makes sense!

Add Keyword in Image ALT Text

Many SEO experts skip this step because they think it is not a crucial part of doing SEO. However, images can rank in Google, and people often click on them to visit the page they are looking for.

When writing ALT text for images, remember to use target keywords. If you are writing informational content, it is essential to use images that reflect the blog’s topic and to make the titles informative.

This will increase your chances of attracting more customers.

Note: If you use target keywords in the Title, Meta Description, Content, and ALT Text, then there is a higher chance of ranking at the top of search engines. This is a crucial aspect of SEO.
